October 28th Jazz Tales welcomed Trumpeter Tim Stanley
Trumpeter, vocalist, composer and arranger, Tim Stanley, is one of the most in-demand performers in the Baltimore/Washington DC region. In 2004, he was selected as the featured trumpet soloist in the United States Navy's premier jazz ensemble, The Commodores. He remains a fixture on the Annapolis, MD jazz scene with the Unified Jazz Ensemble from Annapolis, Maryland. Tim was also a member of the Grammy-winning Latin Jazz ensemble, Afro Bop Alliance. As an educator, Tim has presented numerous clinics across the USA and has served on the faculty of the Maryland Summer Jazz Camp. He has performed and/or recorded with Chris Potter, Randy Brecker, Branford Marsalis, Paquito D'Rivera, Donny McCaslin, Jerry Bergonzi, Terrell Stafford, Eddie Daniels, Doc Severinsen, Dave Samuels, Seamus Blake, Poncho Sanchez, Arturo O'Farrill, Bill Watrous and many other musical luminaries.
