Come party with E.U. and Sugar Bear to bring in the New Year!
After his memorable performance at the BET Awards this year, Gregory "Sugar Bear" Elliott and his band E.U. (Experience Unlimited) are recognized as one of the most popular and successful bands to come out of Washington, DC performing the city's original Go-Go music. Formed in the 1970s, E.U. had initial success in the early 1980s with their regional hit "E.U. Freeze", then reached national audiences by collaborating with Kurtis Blow on "Party Time" and the legendary Grace Jones on her anthem "Slave To The Rhythm." In the late 1980s, E.U. became popular across the nation and around the world with their breakthrough #1 R&B smash hit "Da Butt" from the soundtrack to Spike Lee's movie "School Daze", and the song is an all-time classic on the radio and the dance floor still today. E.U. then collaborated with Salt-N-Pepa on the #4 R&B hit "Shake Your Thang" that combined Hip-Hop and Go-Go, then released their biggest selling album "Living Large" with #7 R&B hit "Buck Wild" and #4 R&B hit slow jam "Taste of Your Love" featuring singer Junie Henderson. E.U. has performed on tour around the world and appeared in music videos on MTV and BET, as well as national television shows including Arsenio Hall, Soul Train and Showtime At The Apollo. Today, E.U. is as popular as ever in its hometown led by Sugar Bear along with original member William "Ju Ju' House on drums anchoring a groove that is still going strong!
