This trio of women from Patagonia write and sing diverse songs characterized by show-stopping harmonies and a magical on-stage chemistry. Hailing from the tiny mountain town of San Martin de los Andes, Femina consists of two sisters and their best childhood friend, Sofia “Toti” Trucco on vocals, guitar and ronroco (a larger charango, the small guitar shaped 10 stringed instrument that creates the treble rhythms of Andean music), Clara “Wewi” Trucco on vocals and percussion and Clara Miglioli on vocals and guitar. Their live shows fuse a variety of Latin genres and folk styles such as cumbia, candombe, rumba and boleros, with international rhythms such as reggae, funk and hip-hop. A unique and sweet combination, the trio has toured internationally in Mexico, Europe and the US and has released several recordings. Their summer tour of the US has them appearing at world music festivals, jazz centers, Joe's Pub in NYC and The Mainstay.
