For the past decade. he has been covering the Rangers and Islanders for the New York Times. He is the foremost expert on the late Yankee legend Thurman Munson.
Wallace Matthews has been a sportswriter, columnist, radio host and television analyst for the past 40 years. He is the only living sportswriter to have hit the grand slam, writing for the New York Times, the New York Post, the New York Daily News and Newsday. He has made friends and enemies in many sports and was once threatened with death by Mike Tyson. He also once completed a Saturday New York Times crossword puzzle in seven minutes while covering a football game.
Mike Geffner is a retired sports journalist who has published countless stories in USA Today, Details, The Sporting News, Cigar Aficionado and The Village Voice. He has interviewed everyone from former President Nixon to Kareem Abdul Jabbar to Dennis Hopper and has been acknowledged seven times by the annual anthology The Best American Sports Writing.
