Jim Ketch
Jim Ketch is one of the most important jazz artist/educators in North Carolina. Director of the jazz studies program at UNC-CH for over 30 years, co-founder and musical director of the North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra and a longtime clinician for Jamey Aebersold and Savanah Swing Central summer clinics, Jim Ketch has performed with Tom Harrell, Wycliff Gordon, Steve Wilson, Terri Lynne Carrington and Slide Hampton to name just a very few. He has 2 recordings under his own name on Summit Records.
For this covert the Swingtet will play music of Thelonious Monk and Charles Mingus.
