SWEET DISSONANCE tells America's story through the sonic lens of our protest music. Weaving songs and narrative, our multi-instrumental performers lead the audience through the Civil War, the Suffrage Movement, the Labor Movement, the Vietnam War, and the Civil Rights Movement. We celebrate artists such as Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Billie Holiday, Neil Young, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Sam Cooke, Phil Ochs and many more.
SWEET DISSONANCE shows how throughout our country's history, protest music has been an essential form of patriotism.
