Wendy’s musical philosophy is simple: “Give voice to your heart’s message in music and it will heal.” Anyone who has experienced Wendy live can attest to that message. From gospel music, singing in her church choir, classical music performed at the Kennedy Center, headlining at the Legendary Blues Alley to the grand opening performance for the Howard Theatre, Wendy Hicks has blazed an exciting musical career that has spanned more than 25 years. As an artist, Wendy has created a new musical sound that she calls, “SoulFusion” which is the fusion of R&B, Jazz, Blues, and Soul music.
