Wonderfully arranged Christmas music, performed by some of the finest musicians in the world. Holiday Jazz at it's best. Twenty five ears and running, performing music written at and first performed in the White House. Exciting, entertaining and loads of fun!
The White House Band, consists of former D.C. special military band members, the finest in the world, who have moved on to specialize in education, along with continuing their professional performance careers. Five of the present members have earned doctorates in music and hold prestigious University positions locally. Darden Purcell and Glenn Scimonelli sing vocals, with a rhythm section of Mark Cook on piano, Paul Scimonelli on bass, Wes Calvert on drums and Ken Hall on guitar. The front line features Dave Detwiler on trumpet, Bruce Swaim on tenor sax and Rhoades Whitehill on trombone. Together they combine to have a group of great musicians that have performed together for many years and continue to thrill audiences both young and old.
