"One of Maryland's premiere free jazz groups, The X Trio makes their first Baltimore appearance in over three years when they return to An die Musik for this Sunday evening show. The band plays a kind of jazz rarely heard, mixing the freedom of total improvisation with elements of form and melody. Bringing together decades of experience, drummer/percussionist Steve Olson, bassist Mark Lysher, and bass clarinettist Todd Marcus weave together an approachable, challenging and fun mixture of musical threads. They will be heading into the recording studio soon after this show, so come see what they have been working on!"

Sunday July 30th: Steve Olson drums, John Lee guitar and Derrick Michaels saxophones, playing all Thelonius Monk songs.
Sunday August 27th: Steve Olson drums, Derrick Michaels saxophones
In-person seats: $20 / $10 full-time students with valid ID
