Founded in 2017 GrooveSmash combines the soulful vocals of Natalie Marque with virtuoso pianist Reggie Bishop, coveted guitarist and singer Brad Mitchell, the warm harmonic foundation of Chris Brown, the soloistic mastery of Rob Dixon, and one one of Indiana’s most versatile drummers in John Marque. This party band was built on decades of professional experience in the music industry and provides a show of fun, musical spontaneity and explosive energy.
Natalie Marque - Vocals
Natalie has fronted some of Indianapolis' most successful cover bands and now has created this new musical experience in GrooveSmash; a collaboration with Reggie Bishop, Brad Mitchell, Chris Brown and her husband, drummer John Marque. Natalie is rooted in rock, funk, dance and soul and is considered one of the city's finest entertainers.
Brad Mitchell - Guitars/Vocals
One of the region's most coveted guitarists, Brad Mitchell brings a combination of a classic vocal timbre and meaningful guitar playing that features blues, classic rock and alternative hits from the 90s that you forgot you loved.
Reggie Bishop - Keyboards
Reggie is easily one of the most respected musicians in the Indianapolis scene. His ability to hear tunes, whether rehearsed or not is like no other. He plays regularly with the finest jazz musicians in town and is a treasured player in the region. His rich sense of harmony and unique creativity make him a much-in-demand session player and keyboardist in the city. Also the president of Spiral Records, Reggie traveled around the world before settling back in Indianapolis for the long haul.
Christopher Brown - Bass
Chris Brown has been the foundation of some of Indianapolis' most successful and recognizable bands. From his tenure in bands such as Zanna-Doo and The Flying Toasters, Chris has been a trusted and treasured player, elevating every project he takes on.
John Marque - Drums
John spent the last 12 years working hard in the Indianapolis music scene, playing with regional party bands The Bishops, X-Ray Roger Jimmy, Dave and Rae, as well as jazz/blues artists Steve Weakley, Rob Dixon, Tad Robinson, Paul Holdman and a community of musicians that has developed him into one of the scene's most versatile players.
