The Jazz Sides of Chaka Khan - Echoes of an Era Redux Alison Crockett, with trumpeter and arranger Thad Wilson, has recreated a quintessential album: Echoes of an Era that originally featured Chaka Khan singing Jazz standards with the unique arrangements of pianist Chick Corea, and featuring Joe Henderson and Freddie Hubbard. This performance is the record release of the live recording, Echoes of an Era Redux, created during the pandemic at a Blues Alley streaming concert, and is the first installment of her concert series “My Father’s Record Collection”. She will take the listener on a journey of her childhood and her relationship to her dad through the jazz standards her father played every night during her young life.
