After a 20-year absence from the cabaret stage, MAC & Bistro Award winner JAMES BEAMAN returns: older, wiser, with a song in his heart and his filter decidedly off.
Celebrating 33 years in show biz, including a decade as one of cabaret's finest female impersonators, Jamie brings his unique and tartly critical point of view on the cultural zeitgeist.
Reunited with his longtime musical director, DAVID MAIOCCO, Beaman's set list includes tunes by Sondheim, Coward, Kander & Ebb, Hamlisch, Gilbert & Sullivan, and many surprises. Broadway dancer, former Rockette, director and choreographer ANN COOLEY stages two numbers for this dazzling cabaret experience.
Joining maestro David Maiocco are multi-award winning MATT SCHARFGLASS on bass, and DAVID SILLIMAN on drums. The evening will feature a video retrospective of Jamie’s drag career, with a studio track of This Was Me, adapted by Beaman and Maiocco, from the hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.
