Mike Geffner’s Inspired Word, one of New York’s most popular indie performance series, presents Soundz & Vibez.
The night features the band Reggaelar People, led by brothers Justin and Brandon Gratta, which combine elements of reggae, hip-hop, and soul to make create a modern, tropical but distinctly New York sound; the lighthearted duo Sight After Dark, which blends the cool of hip with a full scale of rock & roll along with resonant lyrics, beats and electric guitar riffs; and the introspective Himal, who isn’t strictly tied to a genre, but is heavily influenced by folk, r&b, jazz and pop.
Hosted by poet Leah. V, who has featured at the Triad nine times – and killed it every time.
