New York Comedy Festival Presents
KIP AND SYLVIA (Tonight On D Deck!)
A Mark Krantz & Peter Martin Production
Book & Songs - Tom Leopold
Director - Karen Carpenter
Music Director - Michael Lavine
Creative Consultant - Jonathan Bendis
Our show takes place in the showroom of the once ill-fated Italian cruise ship The Concordia. The ship’s captain crashed into a reef killing 30 vacationers who were, up till then, having a great time…
The good news is The Concordia II has been launched, the captain is out of jail and will once again be taking the helm.
To lure passengers the company reached out to the world's top entertainers …none of them “reached” back. So Kip and Sylvia Glasscock, the unhappily married husband and wife song writing team, will perform songs from their failed shows and stories from their equally failed lives.
So take some dramamine, lower your standards and set sail with Ilene Kristen and Tom Leopold for an evening filled with much needed laughter. What else have you got going?
"The songs are comedic jewels whose melodies sparkle at sea, I left the theater humming the jokes and laughing at the songs!" - Paul Shaffer
