Milwaukee’s Jazz Trumpeter Eric Jacobson brings his quartet to town to perform an evening of compositions by the late great trumpeter's Clifford Brown, Lee Morgan, Kenny Dorham and Freddie Hubbard. Jacobson is a fixture on Milwaukee’s jazz scene, where he serves on the faculty of the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and residence with award winning Sextet We Six. Over the years, Jacobson has performed with jazz luminaries such as Phil Woods, Benny Golson, and Brian Lynch, and has been a member of the Chicago Yestet and the Chicago Jazz Orchestra ."Eric maintains a focused but broad lexicon exhibiting his mastery of both classic and contemporary "straight-ahead" trumpet style. Eric plays strong, assured technique, a hip dark sound on the trumpet, and expressive without gimmicks. Eric has now taken his place among the elite of modern mainstream jazz trumpeters."
