Celebrating the birthday of Go-Go Legend "Big Tony" Fisher, the bassist, vocalist and bandleader for Trouble Funk performing along with special guests! Trouble Funk performs classic Go-Go at its best featuring an uproarious blend of swinging, up-tempo funk heavily laden with infectious percussion, punctuated by dynamic horns, topped off with booming vocals and the trademark audience call and response. The band became renowned as global ambassadors of Go-Go music after having been featured in both film and television while also performing at major concert venues around the world. Of course, Big Tony & Trouble Funk always look forward to performing here in the DC area where Go-Go originated!
Trouble Funk burst on the scene more than 40 years ago from the streets of DC with their raw party driven style recording several Go-Go classics including "Drop The Bomb", "Hey Fellas", “So Early in the Morning”, “Good To Go” and the heavily sampled "Pump Me Up" which was featured in the popular video game Grand Theft Auto. The band also reached a wider audience when they shared the stage with Dave Grohl and The Foo Fighters on the HBO music series "Sonic Highways" when Grohl told the audience that Trouble Funk inspired him to become a musician when he saw the band perform while growing up in the DC area. Trouble Funk is still inspiring audiences today whenever they perform!
