Paul Hayward’s fascinating and unique life is, indeed, a cabaret!
Do you like Barbra, Judy, and Liza? How about Monty Python and Mel Brooks? Sammy Davis Jr? Linda Ronstadt?
Have fun and always look on the bright side of life as Paul takes you on a musical journey—sharing (and belting) the highs and lows—paying homage to these inspirations and many more—as he opens his heart and tells his story.
From growing up a Catholic schoolboy in Wilmington, Delaware to discovering and training in musical theater—
From getting married and having a beautiful daughter in his 20s, to having a stroke at age 34, followed by the struggle and triumph of returning to performing—
And finally, coming out at age 50, navigating life out of the closet, finding true love, and moving to NYC!
Paul will be accompanied by his talented and loving partner—pianist, Stuart Hargreaves.
With special guest appearances by: Melanie Bowditch (singer) and Carolyn Kitay (comedian)
Plus, a little help from his versatile friends: Gina Natalia Bauzá, Willard Brewington III, Lucy Charman, and Rob DeRemigio
And his wonderful daughter, Olivia Hayward.
