Join us at Bethesda Theater for a special BLACK LOVE DAY experience honoring the birthday, music, artistry, and legacy of D’Angelo - neo-soul pioneer, Grammy-winning artist, and one of R&B’s most influential voices.
As fans around the world continue to honor his life following his passing in October 2025, we’ll start the evening celebrating the music that introduced him to the world - his landmark debut album Brown Sugar and its timeless grooves. Then, settle in for a screening of the classic romcom film Brown Sugar on the big screen, a story rooted in black love, music and culture.
The night, hosted and curated by DJ Lance Reynolds offers more than just a screening. Expect a special menu, interactive games, exciting giveaways, festive Love-Day photo moments, and opportunities to connect with fellow fans and friends in community and celebration.
