Northern Italy’s Cool Climate Regions are What’s Hot!
Italy is perhaps the most passionate wine and food country in the world; each region known for distinctly different wines, foods and terroir. Northern Italy’s cooler climate regions are home to three of Italy’s premier wine growing regions, Piedmont, Veneto and Alto Adige. Piedmont is home to the prized and pedigreed wines of Barolo and Barbaresco made from Nebbiolo as well as the elegant, bright red wines from Barbera and Dolcetto. Alto Adige is home to the most amazingly vibrant white wines in Italy and Veneto is home to the most DOCG wines, most notably Amarone, Valpolicella and Prosecco. The majority of the Italian wine that I drink is from Northern Italy as I am so passionate about these lovely wines. I look forward to sharing these special wines with you!
