Mason Rheinhardt made The Collective Moment to share with audiences what he loves most about playing jazz - getting lost in the moment while making incredible music with top-tier musicians. In this iteration of The Collective Moment, he is combining top-class graduates of the prestigious jazz studies program at Michigan State University with his favorite musicians from his hometown to create a collective of new compositions and arrangements in the theme of "What is Home?"
Mason, a Raleigh native and a recent graduate of Michigan State University, is a saxophonist, composer, and educator dedicated to creating community through music. An alum of the Enloe High School, Triangle Youth Music and the Durham Jazz Workshop, he will be starting his Master's degree at the University of Texas at Austin as a Graduate Assistant in the fall.
