“A sassy, high energy redhead with great dramatic gifts and a voice that can bowl you
over or gently lay your head upon her breast. . . Rothrock is the spiritual kin of Liza
Minnelli, Bette Midler and Sarah Vaughan”.
- Nashville Scene, TN
Lynne Rothrock’s engaging mega-watt personality is as expansive as her remarkable knack for uncovering priceless, little-known musical masterpieces. Her savvy style with a time-honored classic is as warm and on-target as her easy and immediate connection with an audience. Lynne has enjoyed an illustrious career performing as a solo artist at venues including Birdland (NYC), The Bluebird Cafe (Nashville), Davenports Cabaret (Chicago) Crooners (Minneapolis), Crown and Anchor (Provincetown, MA) with Michael Feinstein at the Dakota (Minneapolis) and the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University. Lynne married Blues Hall of Fame guitarist Ron DeWitte who broadened her repertoire, style and life with his soulful blues influence until his death in 2018. Lynne approaches each song as a short story that has a unique point of view and she floats between musical styles to help express the stories most effectively. Expect to hear jazz, blues, folk, musical theatre, comedy - whatever it takes to bring the stories to life. Her partnership with versatile pianist Julia Andrews is the icing on cake.
