Aidan Francia Cotter is a jazz pianist based Baltimore, Maryland. Born and raised in Harlem, New York, Francia Cotter developed a passion for jazz at an early age, drawing inspiration from the city's rich musical heritage. A 2024 YoungArts National Winner in Jazz Piano and recipient of the Schlesinger-Lichtman Piano Award from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, Cotter has established himself as a promising young artist in the jazz community.
He has performed at renowned venues including Smalls Jazz Club, the Apollo Theater, and Keystone Korner, as well as numerous festivals, private events, and concert engagements. Throughout his musical career, he has had the opportunity to perform and collaborate with acclaimed artists including Sean Jones, Lenny White, Tim Green, EJ Strickland, and Norm Lewis, among others. Francia Cotter currently attends Loyola University Maryland, where he studies International Business and competes as an NCAA Division I tennis player, while continuing to perform professionally in New York City and Baltimore.
