Craig Alston is a Baltimore-born multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator best known for his soulful and dynamic saxophone sound. Versatile across jazz, R&B, soul, hip hop, and gospel, he has performed with icons including Lee Ritenour, Brian Culbertson, Najee, The O’Jays, The Temptations, and the Soulful Symphony. A former member of Fertile Ground and longtime leader of the Eubie Blake Legacy Band, Craig has toured internationally and appeared at festivals such as the DC Jazz Festival, Artscape, and the Drum Rhythm Festival in Holland. He is endorsed by Antigua Winds, Legere Reeds, and Theo Wanne Mouthpieces, and was honored with the Jazz Journalists Jazz Heroes Award. Dedicated to the next generation, Craig serves as Musical Director for independent artists, clinician, and woodwind teacher with OrchKids.
