This powerhouse trio is known for turning every set into a full-on organ-fueled dance party, and we can't wait for them to light up the Keystone Korner stage this August 17th!

Charlie Hunter is a guitarist, producer, and composer known for his innovative approach to the instrument. Renowned for his ability to simultaneously play bass lines, melodies, and chords, he first gained recognition for his custom eight-string guitar. Over his 35-year career, Hunter’s ever-evolving genre-blending style fuses jazz, funk, blues, and rock, earning him a reputation as one of the most forward-thinking, influential, and distinctive guitarists of his generation. A driving force in modern jazz and groove, Hunter’s work with SuperBlue, alongside Kurt Elling, has received critical acclaim. A collaborative album with Andy Randazzo, Corey Fonville, and DJ Harrison of Butcher Brown, fusing deep grooves with contemporary jazz and funk.

Grammy-nominated producer, drummer and bandleader Corey Fonville is in demand as much in jazz as in R&B and hip-hop. He’s a long-time collaborator with alto saxophonist Logan Richardson, appearing on his 2021 album Afrofuturism. Aside from this, Fonville is a member of the Nicholas Payton Trio and Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah’s Quintet, as well as leading his own band Butcher Brown, a group that blends jazz with hip-hop, funk, rap, rock and soul.

Keyboardist Sam Fribush is on the frontlines of the Hammond organ revival, bringing his fonky, soulful vibe to any stage he plays on. Fribush became a member of Hiss Golden Messenger in 2021. Fribush has recently produced and recorded music with Charlie Hunter, Adam Deitch (Lettuce, Break Science), Lucius, Dori Freeman, Ric Robertson, MC Taylor (Hiss Golden Messenger), Joel Savoy, Taylor Meier (Caamp), California Honey Drops and more.
