Warren Wolf, piano
Mayu Saeki is a Japan-born flutist, composer, bandleader, educator with nearly a decade of her musical career in NYC. Mayu, Elizabeth University of Music alumni with M.M. degree in 1996, still keeps transforming herself with no limit. Her versatile and passionate play Style is deeply rooted in her early classical training with Pierre Yves Artaud, Alain Marion, and her mentorship NEA jazz master Chico Hamilton.
She has continued to work with Hamilton until his passing in 2013 and appeared on three of his albums. She sideman career still continues with with several groups including Four Celtic Voices, Lewis Nash?, Mark Gross with strings and Arturo O'farrill and resist.
Meanwhile, she has been actively performing with her own group since 2010 nationwide. Her debut album “HOPE” was released from Brooklyn Jazz Underground Records in March 2018. She was featured on the Downbeat Magazine (July 2018) Artist Page. “Mayu offers, said pianist Aaron Goldberg, is - Rich beautiful sound, she is a soulful person with deep feelings, and you hear that in her playing." by Phill Lutz.
As an educator, she was a guest clinician for Texas Summer Flute Symposium Jazz improvisation masterclass at Texas A&M university. and Summer band camp at Arizona State University in summer 2018. Also she was invited as a specialty guest for Women in jazz Phoenix for a Masterclass in fall 2019.
She has extended her career to the Broadway show world, has been a substitute flutist for “Fiddler on the Roof In Yiddish” at stage 42 (this show was closed on January 5th, 2020).
Warren Wolf is a multi-instrumentalist from Baltimore From the age of three, Warren has been trained on the vibraphone/marimba, drums and piano under the guidance of his father Warren Wolf Sr. After graduating from Baltimore School for the Arts in 1997, Warren attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston. There he studied with Caribbean jazz vibraphonist Dave Samuels and vibist Ed Saindon. Warren has performed with a who's who of the musical world. He has several recordings as a leader and recently signed to the Mack Ave recording label
