Keller Remington, born in Denver, Colorado is a trumpet player raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, currently residing in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. area. Keller found a deep passion for the trumpet through his parents’ love of listening to a wide variety of music, such as The String Cheese Incident all the way to Miles Davis. While in high school at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, Keller was the recipient of four consecutive Downbeat Student Awards and performed alongside Grammy-nominated Las Vegas Icons, Clint Holmes and Frankie Moreno. At this time Keller was being taught by Wes Marshall, as well as Las Vegas native trumpet player, Kenny Rampton.
Keller is a graduate of the highly acclaimed Peabody Institute under the direction of The Richard and Elizabeth Case Chair, trumpeter, composer, and educator, Sean Jones. Since moving to Baltimore, Keller teaches and performs frequently around the Baltimore-Washington area, New York-New Jersey, and back in Las Vegas. Keller has started to tour through the entire East Coast including cities from Miami to Boston. Keller hopes to continue the rich culture and tradition of music through his own sound and community outreach in his local community and beyond.
