The Jazz Composers Forum brings together education, creation and performance. This unique forum enables students to showcase compositional techniques and collaboration, all inside an intimate venue where many Jazz greats have performed. Ensembles selected perform their original work and audiences listen-in on the creative processes promising young artists. An die Musik Live hosts the forum to give the next generation a unique creative and performance outlet.

Hadriel Dayanim is a pianist, composer and arranger in jazz, classical and contemporary music styles. A freshman at the Peabody Institute and Johns Hopkins University Double Degree Program pursuing degrees in Jazz Piano Performance and Electrical Engineering, Hadriel is a multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, guitar, electric bass and oud. He has been a member of the Skidmore Jazz Institute and Jazz at Lincoln Center's Summer Jazz Academy and has placed in multiple competitions, including second in the AMMA National Metropolitan Online Classical Music Festival.
Inspired by lineage and cultural context, Baltimore-based trombonist, composer, arranger and educator Nick Garrison maintains an active career as a crossover musician. Rooted in the Blues, Garrison specializes in connecting Traditional New Orleans Jazz with Modern Straight Ahead. He held international touring positions with the New Orleans Swamp Donkeys and Dirty Bourbon River Show. Garrison has recorded over 20 albums as a sideman and leads jazz ensembles playing his original compositions and arrangements. He teaches jazz and classical trombone at the Baltimore School for the Arts, and previously taught at the University of North Carolina, Asheville. He was awarded the Peabody Institute’s Graduate Jazz Fellowship in 2026 while pursuing a Master of Music in Jazz Studies.
Pianist and composer Dylan Lee seeks to not be categorized within any one musical genre. He crafts unique tunes by blending the musical styles of J.S. Bach, Chick Corea, Roy Hargrove, and beyond, constantly pursuing new influences.Originally from North Carolina and a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, Lee has performed at the Sharp Nine Gallery, the Triangle’s most prestigious jazz club, and his compositions have been nominated for the UNC Student Film Association’s best score award. He is a new arrival on the Baltimore music scene, has joined Fran Vielma’s Pan-American Jazz Ensemble, and is open to various artistic collaborations. Lee also works as a freelance performer while pursuing his Master of Music in Jazz Studies at the Peabody Conservatory.
