“For haunting melody, rhythm that makes every part of your anatomy move, and a feeling of warmth and enthusiasm, QuinTango is downright wonderful." - Robert Jones, Spoleto Critic, The Charleston Post and Courier
QuinTango’s back-by-popular-demand “Night of Tango” includes Tango Nuevo by Piazzolla, Tango Poesia by QuinTango’s own composers Emmanuel Trifilio and Ali Cook, and traditional Argentine tangos. This is tango like you’ve never imagined: classical chops, jazz harmonies, and intimate stories in Georgetown’s iconic jazz club. If you are looking for an authentic Buenos Aires experience right here in D.C., you just found it.
Winner of 5 WAMMIEs and DC’s 2023 award for Best Latin Artist/Group, QuinTango (2 violins, bass/vocals, piano, and bandoneon), has received standing ovations at the White House, Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Tango Night, jazz clubs in Costa Rica, Mexico and Buenos Aires and concert venues across 29 states and three continents, including a sold-out European tour (7 performances in the Netherlands and Lithuania) completed in August 2025. QuinTango’s music can be heard in major films (LA BELLE EPOQUE, France, 2019, and PLAY DIRTY, USA, 2025). Powered by the desire to make a difference, QuinTango also partners with schools, community centers, half-way houses, hospitals, senior centers, the U.S. State Department, and local cultural offices to use their artistry to build community globally.
