Howard University Jazz Combo with special guest Cyrus Chestnut
The Howard University Jazz Combo, comprised of standout student artists from Howard University, will perform mix of classic standards, modern repertoire, and spontaneous musical conversation. The combo will be joined by special guest Cyrus Chestnut, one of the most respected pianists in jazz today. Known for his soulful swing, gospel-infused touch, and masterful improvisation, Chestnut has performed and recorded with jazz legends including Wynton Marsalis, Freddie Hubbard, and Betty Carter. This is a special collaboration with Howard University’s emerging artists, a memorable conclusion to an exciting evening of jazz.
