The Lineup features…

*Musical Theater Trio “Fire Escapists” -
Emma Byron, Emily Nolan, Silvia Amandola

*Musical Duo
Kyle Counts & Rebecca Menges

*Musical Theater Singer Sam Theuring

*Poet/Dancer Leann Gioia

Emma Byron is a singer based in New York City, but her hometown is Los Angeles, California. She recently graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy of New York City. She previously studied Theater Arts at Santa Monica College. For the past eight years, Emma has been building a strong foundation in voice, acting, and dance with many amazing teachers and mentors.

Silvia Amandola is an Italian performer and AMDA graduate based in New York City. She’s been living and working in NYC for the past two years, building her career in theater and live performance.

Emily Nolan is a British performer/singer/songwriter who has been in NYC for two years pursuing acting and musical theatre, as well as playing her original songs in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Sam Theuring is a Brooklyn-based singer, entertainer, and event host known for her moxie and charm. A cabaret-style act who's appeared Off-Broadway, Sam's repertoire pulls from Broadway, jazz, blues, and pop. Her influences are strong female performers like Barbra Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and jazz singers Annie Ross and Marilyn Maye. Sam sings independently and as the front woman of the Evil Gal Blues Band.

Rebecca Menges is a classically trained Broadway enthusiast. She’s taken singing lessons on and off since falling in love with music in middle school, most recently completing courses at Manhattan School of Music and the Juilliard Extension School. Outside of her day job she sings in Broadway at 92NY Chorus, and was previously a volunteer vocalist with Sing for Hope.

Kyle Counts is excited to return to the stage for this performance. He has been the lead singer in a band for the past three years and has appeared in multiple musicals, including Big Fish with The Riverside Players, as well as 9 to 5: The Musical and Beauty and the Beast (as Maurice) at East Central College. With a background in choir and a passion for musical theatre, Kyle brings a rich, expressive voice and heartfelt energy to every performance.

Leann Gioia has been pursuing her professional career in NYC since 2014, after receiving her BA in English and BFA in Dance at the University of Iowa. She shares her poetry at open mic nights in NYC and utilizes it in her work as a dancer and choreographer. As a dancer, Leann is currently a member of the Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company and a founding member of Variety Pack Collective. Leann’s poetry comes from personal experiences, passions, and simply aims to make you feel.

Hosted by former journalist Mike Geffner, who founded InspiredWordNYC in March 2009.
