The Cohen-Rutkowski Project returns to their instrumental roots with the addition of jazz master Mark Buselli on trumpet. You’ll hear fresh takes on many of the project’s original compositions, re-arranged by Chris Rutkowski for the new front line of Mark on trumpet and Rich Cohen on sax. The project’s original compositions span a wide range of styles, including hard driving straight-ahead jazz, afro-cuban grooves, blues and gospel. With the addition of Mark Buselli’s masterful improvisations, this is sure to be a night of high-energy swinging music.

Mark Buselli is a highly accomplished trumpeter, composer, and educator based in Indianapolis, Indiana. He earned his degrees from Berklee College of Music and Indiana University, where he was awarded a Performer's Certificate. As a Yamaha performing artist, Buselli is currently the Director of Jazz Studies at Ball State University and co-founded the critically acclaimed Buselli-Wallarab Jazz Orchestra (BWJO). He has released numerous recordings as a leader and sideman, with his compositions and arrangements published for various ensembles, and has performed with renowned artists and for multiple U.S. presidents.
