Gabriella Prisca Handoko, an award-winning Indonesian pianist, is a laureate of numerous international competitions, including silver medals at the Steinway Junior and Los Angeles International Liszt competitions. She holds the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) as the youngest Indonesian pianist to perform Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto, as well as the complete works by George Gershwin. Passionate about chamber music and cultural diplomacy, Gabriella received the 2024 Chamber Music Sidney Friedberg Prize and has engaged in collaborative projects and performances in her home country and the U.S. She has worked alongside the well-respected Indonesian pianist and composer, Ananda Sukarlan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture to promote heritage sites in Indonesia to UNESCO. She completed her Bachelor’s of Music degree in Piano Performance at the Peabody Institute under the mentorship of Steven Spooner.
As a virtuosic and curious musician, violinist Chener Yuan connects with audiences with her imaginative expression and contemplative interpretation. Chener has appeared on the main stages of the performing arts, including David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center in New York, Harris Theater of Chicago, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, and the Guangzhou Opera House. She is the second-place winner in the 2024 Yale Gordon String Competition. Chener has been named the 2024-2025 recipient of the Lindred Scott Bendann Endowed Scholarship in Violin for her doctoral studies at the Peabody Conservatory, under Professor Vadim Gluzman. She also serves as a Second Violin Tutti member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Sofia Brys, from Long Beach, California, is earning her bachelor's degree at the Peabody Conservatory, studying with Alan Stepansky. She recently attended Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara and was awarded the Pat and Dave Wadors Scholarship for cello. Sofia was formally a member of the Tessitura Quartet and studied under Annie Fullard. This summer Sofia performed the Elgar Piano Quintet and worked with members of the Takács Quartet, as well as pianist Jeremy Denk.
