The Gilly and Book Quintet

The Gilly and Book Quintet is a premier straight-ahead jazz quintet based in the DMV area.  Comprised of dedicated local music educators and professional performers, the group features John Gillenwater (trumpet), Alex Silverbook (saxophone), Greg Casement (drums), Phil Ravita (bass), and Dimitri Nassar (keyboard).  They perform a wide variety of jazz standards and can be heard monthly at Fallen Oak Distilling's Whispering Spirit Speakeasy.

The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd is excited to present The Gilly and Book Quintet to begin the 2026 - 2027 season of The Arts In Harmony at Olney Good Shepherd concert series.

Doors will open at 6:30PM. Drinks and refreshments will be available for purchase before the concert and during Intermission.

Our mission is to promote and showcase local artists in an open and inviting space conducive for the uninterrupted listening and enjoyment of live music at an affordable price.
