Noah Myers is a New York City–based guitarist, band leader, and educator known for his artistic versatility that ranges from straight-ahead jazz and Afro-Cuban styles to alternative rock. A graduate of both the prestigious University of North Texas and Manhattan School of Music jazz programs, Noah has performed with luminaries such as Christian McBride, Quincy Davis, and Donny McCaslin, and recently joined a group organized by legendary bassist, John Benitez, With whom he plays in weekly residencies at storied venues such as Terraza 7 and Arthur’s Tavern.
As a leader, Noah has toured nationally and internationally, bringing his original music to stages such as the Detroit Jazz Festival, The Jazz Showcase in Chicago, the Krakow Philharmonic in Poland, and the royal palace in Bucharest, Romania. Besides extensive live performance experience, Noah has also recorded on studio albums such as Nature//Nuture by Dallas-based group Have Near, as well as large ensemble projects featured in prime-time commercials.
For the 8th annual Washington Heights Jazz Festival, Noah will present brand new original music written with the group members’ unique musical personalities and identities in mind.
