Simon Martinez, guitar
Tim Watson, guitar
Tone Whitfield, bass
Nazir Ebo, drums
At just 23 years of age, Nazir Ebo was declared, “the Philadelphia jazz scene’s next breakthrough talent” by WRTI. The second drum prodigy to emerge from his West Philadelphia home, following older brother Justin Faulkner of the Branford Marsalis Quartet, Ebo has become an in-demand sideman for such greats as Joshua Redman, Soweto Kinch, George Burton, and Salami Rose Joe Louis.
Philadelphia-born Nazir Ebo is a boundary-pushing drummer, composer, and bandleader who is redefining the sound of modern jazz. A self-taught prodigy from a musical family, Ebo has toured worldwide as part of the Joshua Redman quartet, earning acclaim for his electrifying performances. As a drummer and classically trained bassist, Ebo’s work reflects a profound technical foundation that constantly pushes the boundaries of jazz. Ebo's sound is bold, dynamic, and utterly captivating.
His quartet features guitarists Tim Watson and Simon Martinez and bassist Tone Whitfield.
