Simon Mogul is a 26-year-old saxophonist, composer, and bandleader originally from Miami, currently based in New York City, is celebrating the release of his debut album "Simon Says". Featured in the band are jazz greats Curtis Lundy, Marc Cary and Warren Wolf, all names the Baltimore jazz scene will be familiar with. The show is part of a larger album release tour, funded by a grant from the South Arts organization. In addition to Baltimore, Simon will travel to Miami, Tallahassee, Atlanta, Nashville, and New York City as part of the tour. Join us for a beautiful night of swinging, soulful music featuring an all-star band of some of the world's greatest jazz musicians.

ABOUT THE ALBUM: “Simon Says” marks tenor saxophonist Simon Mogul’s debut as a bandleader: a straight-ahead, big-sound jazz record shaped by bandstand trust and first-take energy. Produced by Curtis Lundy, the nine-track album features Jeremy Pelt (trumpet), Tyler Bullock and William Hill III (piano), Rodney Green (drums), with Eric Kennedy appearing on three tracks. Recorded without rehearsal, the session followed the spirit of classic Blue Note and Prestige dates—tempos, forms, and dynamics decided in the room and preserved as they happened.

Rooted in the tenor lineage of Johnny Griffin, Gene Ammons, Booker Ervin, and Sonny Rollins, Mogul brings weight, authority, and momentum to original compositions shaped by Lundy’s understated but decisive guidance. Simon Says will be released on February 20th, 2026, supported by a South Arts Jazz Road Tours grant, with a national tour and an album-release performance at Smalls (NYC) on March 10.
