Paradise SHREDition Vol 10: Disney Wept
Presented by One Man Army
Animation—but not as you know it.
Join us for Paradise SHREDition Vol 10: Disney Wept, a bold, one-night-only screening of animated short films that push the boundaries of the medium. Presented by One Man Army, this curated program celebrates innovative voices in contemporary animation—featuring work that is imaginative, daring, emotionally charged, and visually unforgettable.
This isn’t Saturday morning cartoons. These are sophisticated, genre-defying animated stories made for adults—blending stunning artistry with bold themes, dark humor, and experimental techniques. The filmmakers come from across the country and around the world, united by a desire to challenge expectations and expand what animation can express.
From surreal visual poetry to unexpected comedy, from eerie hand-drawn dreamscapes to boundary-blurring digital work, Disney Wept is a journey through the many faces of modern animation. Some pieces are poignant. Others are provocative. All of them reflect a fiercely creative spirit that lives outside the mainstream.
Paradise SHREDition is New York’s underground genre film series, now in its tenth volume. Known for spotlighting bold, up-and-coming voices in film, this special animation edition honors the medium’s power to inspire, subvert, and connect—while playfully tipping its hat to the legacy of animation giants… and what happens when artists break free from their shadows.
