On this special evening, Raul brings his extraordinary voice, soulful guitar playing, and unmistakable musicality to the stage at An die Musik for an up-close performance where every note can be heard and felt.

A two-time Grammy nominee, Raul is a truly singular performer — a singer-songwriter and guitarist whose music moves effortlessly between jazz, soul, folk, Latin, and beyond. This is a rare opportunity to experience Raul in an intimate setting.

Blind since birth, Midón has often been described as a “one-man band,” turning his guitar into an orchestra and his voice into a chorus (The New York Times). His breakthrough album State of Mind—hailed by Elton John as a “soul classic”— is now celebrating its 20th anniversary and remains a touchstone of modern soul and jazz.

The skilled guitarist, composer, and singer has built a career defined by collaboration and innovation, working with a remarkable range of artists from Shakira, Spike Lee, Herbie Hancock, and Stevie Wonder to Snoop Dogg and Roberta Flack.

With his latest album, Lost & Found (2024), the fleet-fingered Midón explores new sonic territory, singing and telling stories filled with nimble melodies ranging from soaring falsettos to a deep baritone. A testament to his pure musicianship, this album is considered a masterclass of technique and composition, marking his 13th major release with some of the most potent songwriting of his career.
