Dayramir González
Afro Cuban Jazz
Acclaimed Havana-born pianist Dayramir González is a force of nature in the world of Afro-Cuban jazz. A Yamaha Artist known for his "monster technique," González’s performances are a vibrant intersection of West African Yoruba roots, European classical training, and modern American jazz. From his latest electronic-infused release, V.I.D.A. (2024), to his mastery of the elegant danzón, González serves as a powerhouse bridge between generations, cementing his reputation as one of the most innovative Latin jazz voices of our time.
“His refined yet bravado-infused pianism naturally extends the brilliant legacy of Cuban jazz pianists from Bebo Valdes to Chucho Valdes to Gonzalo Rubalcaba.” -LA Weekly
“Promising newcomer Dayramir Gonzalez can be added to the pantheon of distinctive Cuban Jazz Voices. This Afro- Cuban pianist, composer, and arranger is setting the Latin jazz world on fire in America.”
-Carnegie Hall
