A true icon of Cuban jazz, Ernán López-Nussa Lekszycki is a pianist whose music bridges tradition and innovation with effortless elegance. Ernan, who is Cuban of Polish heritage, has for over three decades been at the heart of Cuba’s modern music scene — known for his unique ability to blend Afro-Cuban rhythm, jazz improvisation, classical and NOLA depth into a sound that is both deeply rooted and constantly evolving.
Over the course of his career, Ernán has performed on renowned stages around the world, including Divino Tuscany, a cultural and musical event hosted by Sting at his estate in Italy.
Founder of influential groups like Afrocuba, Cuarto Espacio, and the Cuban Quartet, Ernán’s work spans from chamber music and ballet scores to bold jazz experiments. Albums like Sacrilegio, Piano Solo, and Havana Report showcase a fearless composer and performer still pushing boundaries.

Ernesto Vega is a world-class Cuban clarinetist and saxophonist whose musical voice bridges jazz and classical with breathtaking versatility. Now based in Houston, Ernesto has spent over two decades performing, recording and collaborating with some of the biggest names in Cuban and international music.
Ernesto has twice won the prestigious Cubadisco Award (Cuba’s equivalent of the Grammys) for his jazz albums Venir al Mundo (2009) and Tradition & Beyond (2020). In 2017, he was featured as a soloist with Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra on the Grammy-winning album Familia.
Beyond jazz, Ernesto is a frequent collaborator with Aperio – Music of the Americas, a Houston-based chamber music organization, where he’s performed pieces like The Sugar Cane Suite, Hilos by Gabriela Lena Frank, and Jorge Calandrelli’s Clarinet Jazz Concerto.
