Warren Wolf is a multi-instrumentalist from Baltimore. Under the tutelage of his father, Warren Wolf Sr., he began music studies at the age of three, learning vibraphone, marimba, drums and piano. A classically trained musician, Warren attended Peabody Institute‘s preparatory program for eight years, Baltimore School for the Arts from which he graduated in 1997, and Berklee College of Music, where he studied under jazz vibraphonists Dave Samuels and Ed Saindon.
Warren is an International touring musician and has made ten recordings, most notably for Mack Ave Records. He is a member of the SFJAZZ Collective and Christian McBride’s “Inside Straight”. He is a faculty member at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Raised in Clermont, Florida, saxophonist Justin Mendez has quickly made a name for himself as an up-and-coming player. Boasting an impressive start to his career, he has shared the stage with Wyclffe Gordon, Dave Liebman, Warren Wolf, Sean Jones, Nasar Abadey, Delfeayo Marsalis, Mark Rapp, Chad Lefkowitz Brown, Scott Wilson, Jeff Rupert, Dan Miller and Miguel Zenon.
A first-call saxophonist in Washington D.C. where he resides, Mendez is lead tenor player for the US Navy Band Commodores. He is featured as a guest on two records: Zach Muth’s Signals and Thomas Milovac Sextet's Sun Ray.
A provocative young musician and composer, Blake Meister has worked with a range of virtuoso performers. Touring and recording with Larry Willis's Heavy Blue band, Blake developed in the modern jazz tradition. He appears on Willis’ final outing, I Fall in Love Too Easily, on HighNote records. Blake honed his style and musical dialect with Gary Thomas and his large ensemble, Pariah’s Pariahs. Blake appears on Thomas’ album At Risk, on Inner Circle Music.
Also on Inner Circle, Blake released his debut as a leader, Septagon – named Album of the Year by CapitalBop and Washington City Paper. He received Maryland Governor’s Citations, garnering three Individual Artist Awards from the Maryland State Arts Council - for composition in 2018 & 2012 and performance in 2015. He was a finalist in the Bass Europe and International Society of Bassist competitions.
Born in Chicago, Aleko Lionikis quickly took to the piano after being introduced by his father, a lifelong musician. Playing professionally by age 15, he was mentored by many of the city’s greats, such as Ernest Dawkins, Charles Heath, Dennis Carroll, and Pat Mallinger. In 2023, he moved to Baltimore to attend the Peabody Institute. At age 14, he first played the Hammond Organ, which is one of his primary instruments. Aleko has also explored digital synthesis, growing up playing his father’s classic Yamaha Dx7. He frequently programs soundscapes and patches for various purposes, including for film.
