ONE, TWO, THREE: SOLO, DUETS, TRIO
Two Washington premieres: Weinberg's Clarinet Sonata, Op. 28, lyrical and quietly haunted, and Shostakovich's From Jewish Folk Poetry — eleven songs for three voices and piano that move from lullabies and laments to a bitter, brilliant show of happiness. With Genadi Zagor, Alexander Fiterstein, Martin Labazevitch, Rachel Blaustein, Maya Lahyani, and Viktor Antipenko.
