Minh Vo is one of his generation’s leading pianists in the Maryland and Washington D.C. area. After turning 13 years old, his father introduced him to the local jazz scene and was nurtured and mentored by locals Michael Price, Eric Byrd, Allyn Johnson, and Paul Carr. Known for his deep-rooted yet contemporary musical language and unique compositions, Vo evokes a sound akin to Herbie Hancock, Kenny Kirkland, Mulgrew Miller, and Oscar Peterson. His musicianship has taken him to highly esteemed local venues such as Keystone Korner Baltimore, Blues Alley, Capital One Hall, Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, and more. In recent years, Vo has also played around the country in cities such as San Francisco, California and Seattle, Washington.
