Two voices, two musical worlds, one stage!
Joe Holt’s Special Friday Series Continues with “Welcome to My World” Friday, April 17th
After the huge success of Joe Holt’s premier series opener, Clash of the Countertenors with Lester Barrett and Gus Mercante, we’re riding that high note straight into the second installment of his special Friday series, “Welcome to My World”. This next musical collaboration promises to be another unforgettable night of great voices and an equally engaging crowd pleaser.
Welcome to My World brings together two outstanding working vocalists, each thriving in a very different musical landscape. Kiara Vos travels a more structured theatrical path, performing with fixed or pre-recorded accompaniments and drawing from opera and Broadway traditions. Rhonda Apple lives in the ever-changing world of the lounge singer, backed by jazz pianists and shaped by the unpredictable energy of piano bar audiences. Two distinct worlds, one shared stage.
Over the course of the evening, Kiara and Rhonda will take each other, and all of us, on a tour of their musical lives, trading perspectives and styles in a show filled with beautiful music, humor, and inspiration. It’s a rare opportunity to see how different artistic paths intersect and complement one another in real time.
Kiara Vos, originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, began singing professionally at just six years old with the Walt Disney Company. Trained by alumni of the Metropolitan Opera and Juilliard, her early foundation in opera eventually expanded into Broadway and contemporary performance. She has performed the Star-Spangled Banner for major sporting events on NBCSN and international television networks, earned 3.5 Centreville Idol wins, and was named the 2025 Judges’ Choice winner of Kent’s Got Talent.
Rhonda Apple, based on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore, found her love of singing early through family influences, her mother’s record collection, and the pop radio that filled her home. Her professional career has taken her to casinos in Atlantic City, cruise ships, Florida, and venues throughout Delmarva, including twelve years full-time with Dale Britt at the Phillips Beach Plaza Hotel in Ocean City. Today, she continues to perform part-time with Joe Holt and other Delmarva musicians, while also leading worship weekly at her church.
If you loved the energy, creativity, and sheer vocal talent of Joe Holt’s first Friday night offering, or if you missed it, “Welcome to My World” is not to be missed. This series is quickly becoming something special, and we’re thrilled to share the journey with you.
