His revolutionary guitar playing and melodic genius continue to inspire generations of musicians. Fox presents a swinging tribute to the icon with a heavy-hitting hard-bop jazz fueled evening with an incredible ensemble. This tribute, held in his hometown, serves as a reminder of the profound impact his innovative spirit had on the world of jazz, ensuring his warm and sophisticated sounds resonate for years to come.
Preston Fox is a proud product of the Indianapolis jazz scene. He is an active guitarist, composer, and educator who has played and recorded with world class artists including Steve Allee, Kenny Phelps, and Sean Imboden.
As a composer and improviser, Preston seeks to pay homage to his Indianapolis roots while also pulling from various musical influences such as Bebop, African American music, and Baroque and Romantic classical music.
