Immersed in rhythm from infancy, he picked up drumsticks at just one year old, thanks to his father, the legendary jazz drummer Kenny Phelps. This early exposure fostered a deep connection to music, shaping his unique sound. His debut project, "Capture The Flag," showcases his dynamic blend of New York fusion jazz, infused with groovy rhythms reminiscent of Robert Glasper. This captivating collection resonates with jazz lovers, highlighting Dorian's passion and exceptional talent.
