With more than 75 years of history, Houston Youth Symphony is a nationally recognized music education program committed to providing access to professional training and performance opportunities for the region's talented young musicians. Each season, HYS provides 28 weeks of intensive coaching instruction to more than 400 children through its five orchestras, an advanced chamber music program and community outreach initiative--the HYS Melody Program--providing free private lessons to children without the financial resources needed in targeted schools. In 2015, HYS launched the Coda Music Program, an El Sistema-inspired afterschool effort that brings graduated, intensive string instruction to elementary school students in Houston's Near Northside neighborhood and in Fort Bend ISD.
HYS Spring Concert II features the Philharmonia and Symphony.
Please note: You are purchasing a ticket for the 7:00 pm concert only. If you would like to attend both the 2:30 and 7:00 concerts, please go back and select Spring Concerts I & II.
