NEW SONGS FROM
LISA CERBONE & GEOFFREY HIMES
Frequent Roots Café guest Lisa Cerbone joins Roots Café host Geoffrey Himes for “An Afternoon of New Songs.” Rather than play old favorites, the two singer-songwriters will present an entire show of compositions from 2025 and 2026. This is made possible by their ongoing creativity, creating an average of at least one song per month. These newest numbers deal with everything from the latest headlines to the most timeless of romantic challenges.
Singer/songwriter Lisa Cerbone returns with her sixth album, Nowhere I Have Ever Been—an intimate collection of songs about love, belonging, and memory. Known for her poetic lyrics, hushed vocals, and intricate guitar work, Cerbone creates songs with a quiet emotional power. The album continues her signature blend of tenderness and depth, following her acclaimed release We Still Have Sky. As Paul McGee of Lonesome Highway wrote, “Such wonderful artistry is delivered with both grace and equanimity.” The album is Cerbone's third collaboration with producer/ instrumentalist Mark Kozelek of Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon.
