Dandelion Blue is a collective of some of Indy's finest hard-working musician friends that got together out of a mutual appreciation of folk songs, and a mutual love of singing and making music together.
Folk songs are songs of the people. These songs often explore pain, grief, faith, freedom, and the promise of better times ahead. Blending intimate and rich harmonies, Dandelion Blue breathes new energy into nostalgia, embodying traditional music in a way that feels current and relevant. Expect a few modern twists as well! Featuring Rebekah Kay (of Mother the Band) on vocals, Kaitlyn Ferry (of Sister Sinjin) on fiddle and vocals, Sadie Johnson (Nashville) on guitar and vocals, Mina Keohane on keys, accordion, and vocals, Carla Blackwell on bass, and Colin Oakley on drums. Come experience a night of heartfelt sonic storytelling as Dandelion Blue sings of life forgotten, life as it is, and of hopes of how life will be.
