“The Long Way Home” is a one-woman spoken word journey that threads together the full spectrum of Leah V’s work — the personal, the political, the sacred, the sensual — alongside poems her father wrote in the ’70s and ’80s. With a small circle of friends offering subtle artistic support, the show becomes a tender, unsteady love letter to New York.
The journey begins when Leah finds a line in her late father’s journal: “glory be memory and imagination.” Those words send her onto the train and into the city’s layered stories — the ones she’s lived and the ones she’s still piecing together.
Leah isn’t arriving at certainty. She’s learning to stay inside the search. Purpose shifts. Questions linger. The journey continues.
Experience 15x Triad Theater feature Leah V as she weaves word, movement, and music into a story of becoming — again and again.
